A Bit About Myself

I’m a graphic designer, RGD Associate member and artist currently based in Waterloo, Ontario with plans to move to Toronto or the GTA in 2025. I enjoy flexing my creative side through work focused around branding, marketing, motion graphics and packaging designs. What intrigues me most about design is the intersection of form and function. Design doesn’t exist in a vacuum and good design is backed by intention, strategy and design thinking. I completed my Bachelor’s of Design at Conestoga College and graduated with honours. During my undergraduate I prioritized experiencing different work environments as a graphic designer, and as such have experience working in non-for-profit, corporate, agency and freelance spaces. I have worked in graphic design, marketing and copywriting for companies based in education, insurance, marketing, compliance, non-for-profit and start-up spaces.

What I value most in the roles I take on is the opportunity to work a variety of work and projects. Variety is the spice of life and as a designer I enjoy working for teams and companies that have a variety of projects underway. I identify as a design generalist and as such love when I get to use and develop further the different creative skills in my design toolset. I love working with fellow creatives and the opportunities for collaborative creativeness it creates.

With my spare time I enjoy diving into the fine art and illustrative spaces. In 2022 I designed and painted a commissioned picnic table for the City of Waterloo for a community parks initiative. The following year I was commissioned again by the city to paint a picnic table live during their Open Streets event in Uptown Waterloo. In 2023 and 2024 artwork I created was turned into flags to be displayed year round in Waterloo Park’s Art Walk. Painting and drawing are what led me to graphic design and I love the opportunity to create work for the city I grew up in and for the local community.
